    I suspect that if you text him that he will cancel the call on the basis that until he sees what the problem is he won’t know if it (or part of it) is chargeable.

    I would argue after he has fixed it. If he needs to replace cable, for example, he would expect to be paid for the cable and perhaps time. I would not pay any call out or minimum fee.

    He’s been out and didn’t charge me anything. He’s changed the lnb again and the connectors outside. He said the next step would be to change the cable. I’ll just have to keep my fingers crossed.

    What signal strength and quality do you get while tuned to BBC1-HD ?

    It says good on both tuners.
