Inactive@VitaminD I am not sure your recording caused a change, I just checked and ITV2,More4 and Film4 are fine at the moment but ITV4 and E4 are still freezing for me. I am recording ITV4 to see what happens, I recorded ITV2 earlier and got a black screen followed by by 3 flashes of picture then nothing and could not skip or FF..
Edit…. Recording froze after 3 flashes of picture, I could skip forward and get a picture but it was frozen. FF worked once at 64x but also only advanced to a frozen picture and refused to work again at any speed.
Edit at 19.05pm E4+1 and ITV4 seem fine now, coincidence or did VitD’s action work?,maybe someone else can test it for themselves.

InactiveReceiveing signals off Sutton Colefield transmitter and about half of the channels on PSB2 have this fault. So reception is fine. I have been recoding cycling on ITV 4 all week first few days were fine now they don’t work. If I fast forward at max speed you can see some of the recoding flashing through. Let’s hope Humax sort this out soon other wise the box might have to go back to the shop.

InactiveAn update.
ITV 2 OK.
Film 4 blank, intermittent audio.
More 4 blank, intermittent audio.
ITV BE blank, intermittent audio.
E4 +1 OK
4 Extra OK.
STV +1 blank, intermittent audio.
As for the recording I made yesterday of The Swimmer on Film 4
which after some persuasion would play, today will not.
Ahh the joys of owning an Aura.
Still though Formula 1 is back, so a little silver lining on this perpetual black cloud.

InactiveI just checked all the channels VitD just listed for a couple of minutes apart from STV but included ITV4 and all are perfectly good now, I am waiting for an ad break on More4 before I celebrate. I only brought my Aura out of standby 20 minutes before posting, could something have just been updated?
EDit………More4 ad break completed without and issues.

InactiveAll channels seem to by ok, at the moment, via the Waltham transmitter (East Midlands). The only difference I might have is my Aura isn’t permanently connected to the internet. I wonder whether a rogue update has installed on those with blank screens – or is it that not finding the internet stops the blanking – or is the fault not on Waltham – or am I just lucky?

InactiveSame problem as you.
I just got my Aura 2 weeks ago and it worked perfectly until I think a week ago, Humax sent me this this morning but I have only just come in from returning it and ordering one online.
Hi Bruce,
We’ve identified an issue affecting the Aura channels just as earlier reported. You may reply with the box serial number and your post code for further escalation.
Best Regards,

InactiveI too have an issue with picture freezing – below is a message I have sent to Humax Customer Service …
Unfortunately I cannot tell you which tv transmitter I am receiving my signals from.
But I’ve noticed in the past week a number of channels are freezing the picture, sometimes with a blank screen. For example 4+1.
Oddly the sound is still present, but it keeps breaking up.
I live in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. I am only guessing that my transmitter is Belmont.
I did a full Factory Reset yesterday and that didn’t work. Also I have installed an attenuator at set it as low as 72%, didn’t help.
I seem to have had this problem from time to time ever since I bought the Aura.
Please help me with an update to fix this problem once and for all.
Many thanks

InactiveKingsmiller,
Enter your postcode and house number into this website and click ‘Check’. Scroll down and the first section will show your local transmitters, their distance and compass bearing from your house. By looking which way your aerial is pointing you can make an educated guess as to which transmitter you should be receiving from.

InactiveMost likely Emerly Moor, but looking at other posts I can see it’s appears to be an issue all over the UK

InactiveSo, my new replacement Aura is coming tomorrow, but in the meantime, I plugged in my Manhattan T3R, and it works perfectly. All the channels I couldn’t get on my new Aura box are now available on this box.
So how are Humax going to fix this D3&4 mux problem on the box? can it be done with an update?

Ignore Chicken Little he was claiming the sky had fallen the last time we had a similar issue and yes that was dealt with by an update as was the previous similar issue before that.It took Humax a while to get the update out to everyone but I have no doubt it will the same again this time.
