InactiveSame firmware for me too. I also don’t have an internet connection to my box. WiFi connection has never been successful for me, always says the password is wrong.

InactiveThanks Barry, now understand.
In the last 2hrs, have had to power off and on no less an 5 times.
This was watching BBC by the way.
Looks like it’s back to dreaded SKY as at least their boxes were
more reliable!

InactiveSame issue with me for the last few days: Remote plays up by not responding to a channel change.
Switching off and back on again (with either the remote or the box’s standby button) just results in a black screen with no boot sequence.
Only disconnecting then reconnecting the mains fixes the problem.
I also have the latest released software and the box is not connected to the internet.

InactiveHi
Same here. Started happening Friday night. Box would work normally for a 1-2 hours then freeze, can continue to watch the channel it’s on, but unable to switch channels. Mute/volume etc continue to function. Doesn’t seem to matter which channel you’re watching, even happened this morning on radio channel. Switching off at main and on again cures it for a while. Surely this much be something Humax has done – and hopefully will come forward to say that at least they’re working on a fix?1

InactiveHi everyone,
we are having this issue too. It’s been happening for a few days now. The box is only 5 months old, and in a way its good to see that its happening to other people too, as we thought it was broken.
Ours freezes on any channel. We mainly have Cbeebies on (601), but it also freezes when watching recorded programmes. Its never been connected to the internet, is it worth doing that now?
I hope it can be sorted soon

InactiveDo all of us with this issue not have our boxes connected to the internet?

InactiveI spoke to Currys today, and they are happy to change mine as it is only 8 months old, so Humax can have it back and I will try with a new one. Anyone else still under 2 year warranty can presumably do the same.
I would have done a fix if there was one, but from this forum it appears not.
mine is not connected to the internet.

Just picked up on this being reported a few times so have disconnected one of my 1000S to see if I can replicate.
I will be highlighting these reports to Humax Towers first thing tomorrow.
Edit: I have added a poll option to thread.

InactiveThanks Barry,
Not sure what it is but it doesn’t seem to do it in the evenings for me. Maybe it’s because the remote control usage is manic later on but will keep monitoring it tonight and report back tomorrow

InactiveScrap what I said about the evenings. It’s just locked up and I can confirm that plugging in the lan cable after locking up doesn’t help. I will leave it connected for until tomorrow night and see how it goes.

InactiveThanks for the add.
I have this self same problem for the last 2 days, needing to switch off and on again every time I want to change a channel.
The box is 1year and 4 days old.
I have checked the box for new soft wear, re-set to factory default but still the same.

Inactivehello all I have just joined the forum and am also experiencing the same faults as all of the previous members. It does not seem to matter if connected to the internet or not and the only way to un freeze box and remote is to disconnect from the mains. Incidentally my box is hdr-1000s/500 and is just over 12 months old by a few days. Help PLEASE not going back to rip off sky

InactiveHi,
I’m new here too. My HDR1000S started to do the same things about 3 days ago. After random period the only things I can from the RC are to turn the unit off and on. I have to press EXIT to get back to previous channel. Problem clears when the unit is powered down.
