InactiveDuring last night’s play with the box, DLNA worked with both my fvp4000 boxes. This morning nothing. The contents folders on both boxes were showing as empty.
However, SAMBA works. Although I needed to give both the fvp4000 boxes static ip addresses, and wade though all the non-playable files shown (those with extensions other than .ts). SAMBA also works when the box is in standby, so that’s a bonus as DLNA only seemed to work when the fvp4000 was on – which is to be expected.
Also, when viewing the epg, I can’t find an easy way to skip a day other than scrolling. Have I missed something there?

A review of the H3:

I’m very familiar with the trustedreviews site and that is clearly not a review. Rather it’s just a copy of the Humax announcement material.

This is definitely going to be hidden behind the TV if they release a Freesat version.
I think you have had to much Spanish sun. I’d be amazed if they do anything like this for freesat. We have become the Cinderella format sadly.

InactiveI have just purchased the Humax H3 Expresso to use with my FVP 4000T. Does the H3 stream live TV when the FVP 4000T is in standby as my H3 does not. Also, it is not picking up any TV recordings stored on my FVP 4000T even when switched on. This is needs to be ironed out fast by Humax to stop me taking the H3 back for a refund.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

The answer to both questions should be yes , but it is not necessarily the H3 at fault. There are still ongoing issues with the network server on the FVP which are being looked into.
To see the H3 in action fully you may have to factory reset your FVP to start with so you have network server working properly.
If the Network server timer function is activated on the FVP then you should be able to view both live TV and recordings on the H3 with the FVP in standby.

InactiveThank you for the very quick reply. A factory reset of the FVP-4000T without formatting the HDD has solved the problem. I can now stream both live TV and stream my FVP-4000T recordings both powered on and in standby. Happy and now off to buy an additional H3.

InactiveContrary to my last post, The FVO-4000T recordings only showed up for a few hours and I have not been able to access them without a factory restore. Humax needs to resolve the recordings server issue to avoid having to factory reset which is unworkable.

InactiveLimited success with my H3. My FVP-4000T is connected via a wired ethernet connection and my H3 via Wi-Fi (it only supports 2.4GHz 802.11n). The network status on the H3 shows a connection speed of around 130MHz so that should be fine. HD channels regularly drop or freeze for a few seconds, SD is better. I’ve also tried AV600 Powerline adaptors, this provides the best HD performance, but still freezes occasionally, to the extent that I changed to BBC2 SD to be able to watch the rugby Four Nations today.
I am running the latest FVP-4000T beta firmware.

InactiveGot mine today, not seeing any recordings from my 4000t but I can set recordings from the H3. Does anyone have a link for the beta firmware to see if this fixes my issue otherwise it’s going back.
