InactiveThat’s interesting about the hdmi 2.0 on 4K TV. Would that cause the Humax 4000T to only offer 567i and loose other resolutions? Is there some sort of feedback from the hdmi port?

Yes the two devices video source and video destination exchange information in a process known as HDCP handshaking. If a splitter is used the source device switches to the lowest common video resolution and audio system codec supported by both devices.
1 The destination tells the source it’s a display and not a recorder. If the destination says it’s a recorder the source with-holds any data usually giving a green screen.
2 4K devices have an enhanced HDCP spec 2.0 and up. As well as supporting 4K it adds several variations HDR (High Dynamic Range).
3 Guessing your 4K TV is incorrectly reporting to the source it can only do 576i instead if 1080p50. (assuming your source is set to output 1080p50). You could try a 1080i setting on the source instead.

You should be OK without. I hope to get a 4K TV end of this month, so will be in a better position re compatibility. My AV receiver can scale hdmi inputs to 1080 or 4K.
