InactiveOk, I have an update. I tried my spare TV on the T2 box. It gave one instance where it gave half a green screen(cleared that with powering off then on) It then worked faultless for 2 days. So I got the engineer out. It does indicate a communication fault between that particular TV and the Humax. He had no luck and now his next step is to update my T2 on his return as a precaution.
My next questions are:
1)Will a manual update affect the custom firmware?
2)How confident can you be that the fault is not being caused by the custom firmware in my case?
3)Shall I restore the T2 to RTM just to prove its not the custom firmware?
4)Are the programs/hard drive wiped when a RTM is done?
Thanks

Yes.

Very confident.
3)Shall I restore the T2 to RTM just to prove its not the custom firmware?
Your call but I would be very surprised if it made a difference.
4)Are the programs/hard drive wiped when a RTM is done?
No.

InactiveOk, I’m stuck!
Can’t find the diagnostics menu to try the RTM setting. I guess I need to install the web interface. I have now connected to the router and can access the tv portal menu now. After reading the above instruction earlier in the thread were is the install web inteface option? I can’t see it anywhere.

So have you attempted to point your web browser at the Humax?

InactiveYes I’ve got connected via the web browser, I can access all the content on the hard drive. Cannot find any options that would download the web interface (or access the diagnostics menu).

Can you explain in detail what you mean when you say “I’ve got connected via the web browser”?

Inactiveok here goes, checked the router to make sure it was connected to the Humax, then inputted the number into the web browser and it connected me onto the Humax menus, giving access to all the content. Guess I need to do something else?

InactiveGave you access to the humax menus? Do you understand what the webif is by any chance?
I recommend you read the instructions over on hummy.tv where you got the firmware from.
There is an entire wiki with instructions as well as a support forum.
By asking these sorts of questions on a forum that does not directly deal with the custom firmware is only going to confuse matters.
