ParticipantAll 4 on my Android tablet isn’t chrome cast compatible but works with my panasonic TV and that’s not live. I can post how to watch using non-freesat if you have a Humax box and you post which model.

Your reply re: Chromecast has got me puzzled Graham as I can cast All 4 from both my Android Tablet and my Android phone. I can of course also cast it from any Chrome web browser.

In my all4 app no sign of chromecast. If I try to use chrome it opens the all4 app could be Android Version.
I will try my phone.
EDIT Works on Phone.
I can use the FVP-5000T anyway.

InactiveI have to say this (C4 removing 4HD from Freesat, not to mention All4 too) strikes me as very petty by Channel 4. The other four ‘main’ terrestrial channels are there in HD. Channel 4 have taken their HD ball and gone home with it. I think it reflects very badly on them, and shows a disregard for their Freesat viewers.
I’m still holding out some hope that the two sides will resolve their differences and normal service will be resumed.

InactiveA rare watcher of C4 but an avid watcher of GP so having to watch in SD now – makes you realise how much better HD was! Lots of pixelation on track edges and everything a little blurry. Just wish C4 and FreeSAT would get back to acting like adults or should I say professionals – or better still BBC would stick their hands in their pockets and host GP. Not sure any of those things are likely to happen!

InactiveNext year you won’t even have F1 on C4 SD. It appears to be up in the air at the moment as to how Sky will deliver their FTA highlights commitment.

Plus F1 have changed their on screen graphics and they are now less legible than before. I guess they assume people are watching in HD (After all, why wouldn’t they be? Thank you Channel 4!) and generally on larger screen sizes (ours is only a 32″).

InactiveYes I noticed the graphics were small and unreadable – for my eyes at least.

Inactive…… F1…… I only noticed that Ch4HD had vanished when I went to record qualifying last Saturday morning. After confirming that it had in fact left the Freesat EPG I found 4HD in other Sats on my Freesat TV which I can easily change to and record to a HDD, also found it in Non Freesat mode on my Foxsat HDR, no way we were recording the SD channel, F1 in SD is awful.
Next year ???, well I know I won’t be paying sky for it or watching the highlights on one of sky’s obscure SD channels.

If you install the custom firmware add on to the Foxsat-HDR and the channel editor package you can make Channel 4 HD visible in Freesat mode and set manual timer recordings.

Thanks Graham, I had seen your post on the Foxsat HDR forum and I’ve finally put the custom firmware on my box. I didn’t see the point before but it will be very useful to set a timer for 4HD now.
