ParticipantNot sure if this fits the bill. If you are watching a recording on the main TV. And need to nip-out to say a Kitchen to make a G&T for the better half
. You need to be watching a synchronised stream. Better half in lounge can skip any ads with the remote TV remaining in absolute synch. The balun pair with a network cable link works perfectly.

InactiveMaybe it does, maybe it doesn’t.
But it won’t cost a penny to find out.

Cheers Guys
Do you have a android tablet ? The Aura app lets you watch live TV and recordings from the main box.
You can also download them (even – HD recordings) in SD quality. On a small screen they look fine. Watching them on a 4K TV is likely to look dreadful.
The two alternatives you have will give you a full-HD picture which on a 4K TV with a decent scaler will look fine. Are you sure you cant get a flat cat 7 cable to the kitchen ? Mine goes through a small hole to outside along an outside wall and then through a wall to the wall hung TV. It’s flat enough to go under carpets or even through a window seal.
Digital modulators are still pretty expensive though I guess they will get cheaper.

InactiveUnfortunately I live in an attic apartment with wooden floors. And the already mentioned coax is in place.
Looks like it’ll have to be pause and watch normal TV whilst she’s cooking

Shout out and big thank you to grahamlthompson .Installed the HD baluns you recommended this afternoon and works perfectly.
Used this cable from Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00XU1MXHO?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
Think I have similar setup. 4K tv in lounge and 1080p 24” tv in kitchen. Wife and I are often in both rooms watching same programme on tv and needed perfect sync video and audio as the kitchen leads off lounge. Any delay in audio sounds awful.
Already had hdmi cable in place which worked well with previous Humax Fox HDR2 but for some reason caused screen blackouts and audio drops with Aura.
I still use HDMI cable from AVR in lounge for Apple TV 4K as it allows me to choose between 1080p if watching on both tv’s or 4K and Dolby Vision if just in lounge. For all other TV I’ll use the Balun to sync both rooms. Using a Logitech Harmony remote and a 4K HDMI switch box in kitchen so easy to flip between different activities.
Been struggling with this for a month and relieved to finally get it all working.

InactiveThanks for all you replies guys.
Can’t see it happening. Be a tricky expensive way just for her indoors to continue watching in the kitchen.
As a cheaper alternative, I’ve suck unused Fire Stick there for here lol
