InactiveGraham, You guessed correctly; Costa Brava with an 80 cm dish. I have S4C on 120 and nothing more until CBS Drama on 134. Is there a solution? Or am I disenfranchised?

Only solution is larger dish. Best advice is a local expat forum/local installer who will some idea of dish size required.
Being in the North of Spain you may only require a moderate increase in dish unlike the southern Costas.

InactiveA quick Google on the subject of “satellite TV reception Costa Brava” throws up this…

SPAIN:
Catalonia (including Barcelona, Costa Brava): 3 metre dish

InactiveGentlemen, many thanks for your help. 3 metres in not practical in my house. I guess we will have to spend more time enjoying the Spanish sun and hope that, some day, the BBC comes to its senses and provides another route to its better programmes. The BBC is one of the best exports the UK ever offered; why squander a constructive method of influencing the hearts and minds of the Europeans on the other side of the channel?

Just as an aside I personally object to paying the BBC tax to do what you describe, and I spend 3 months a year in Spain and the Canaries, so miss it like yourself. I now get out more and enjoy the sun and Spanish culture, which can only be good

These sizes very much depend on local conditions.
If you were able to get 1N transmissions before on a 80cm then I would have thought you should be able to get reception on less than 200cm at the outside. There are very significant local differences, get local advice.
Here (In France, 32460) there appears to be a significant drop off on signal the further east you go from here. Imagine a line drawn through the UK and on through France, Those on that line do well.

InactiveIs live pause/rewind working for anyone ?

InactiveWorking for me. Not working is a sign of corrupt timeslip buffer.
A disk reformat will fix.

Your unit will update automatically anyway. Some users don’t like some of the cosmetic changes that freesat designed in but functionally I am happy with it.

You have the latest software version.
Unable to live pause indicates corruption in the buffer file which the only way to ressolve is to format the hard drive.
Unfortunately that means you will lose any recordings you may have.

InactiveHi.
Thanks for quick response .
Will I also need to do factory reset or just reformat

InactiveWouldn’t hurt I suppose, just remember after you’ve done this you will need to reset any personal settings and any scheduled recordings you may have.
