My mother-in-law had the original problem on this thread (9300T), but now it just switches itself off (presumably standby) after a couple of minutes. Could this be related?

    I don’t own a Humax myself, so am a bit lost…

    Which firmware should she have?

How do you tell which version is running?

    Thanks for any help,

    Brian.

Welcome to our Forum Brian :-)

The latest firmware for the 9300 is 1.00.26

Can be checked via: Menu, System, Status.

Not sure why it is switching off, cannot say I remember anyone else reporting the same before.

    Hi,

i’ve been having the same problems with the humax 9150 freezing. I’ve never been able to receive the OTA software updates (i get an error message if i try to do it mannually) so i think my system ID might be corrupt. I followed the steps posted (i bought the two cables and have used the flash thingy along with the hdf file from the hummax website which began doing the update but eventually i get the error message “error location 13950. wanted (06) got (0) halting”. can someone please point me to the system ID “uncorruptor” link?

    Many thanks

The fact that the error location is reported as 13950 means two things:

    your System ID is correct

the update procedure got a long way before failing.

Was anything else running on the computer when you were trying to update? I suggest shutting down as many programs as you can on the computer and trying a few more times.

    Thanks Barry, 1.00.10

I see auto update is on, but I don’t think it ever has.

So I suppose I need a serial lead or she will have to wait till the 27th.

Can’t find a serial lead with the right plugs on – can’t find any plugs either. Looks like she’ll have to wait and I’ll force a manual OTA update on the 27th.

I tried posting something on the Facebook site, even tonight, Christmas night, they’ve got somebody up deleting it making sure nothing criticising humax appears… Not very helpful!

Thanks for the instructions here, I guess I will have to wait for the 27th as well?

You may remember I solved the non responsive remote control problem by carrying out a default reset however, I now have the problem of a Humax 9150T that constantly reboots and nothing is sorting it!

So, do I give up on it and buy a new receiver or is there hope? <<fingers crossed for hope>>

    TIA

I fear you are going to need cables to try and restore the unit by uploading, however you could try switching the power off for a while and see if that helps.

Barry, what do you think the problem is?

Don’t really know is the honest answer Martin, but with the correct cables of course there are a few things we could try.

Upload the software, loader or even a default file to try and regain control of the unit.

Was your reply regarding the cables in response to my post Barry? If so then I have had the unit switched off, unplugged and sat on the naughty step for 3 days now and still it refuses to behave :?
