If, as it appears, you have the ear of Humax Towers, is there any chance you could persuade them to monitor this forum on a regular basis to discover what problems users are uncovering?
I would hope (because it would be a dereliction of duty not to) that there are several members from Humax but they don’t introduce themselves as such because they would be inundated with messages if they did.

Yes, you would hope so, but it has seemed that they only become aware of problems when a good few people send in emails complaining.
That is the way to go. How do we contact them? Is there a specific email address? It would be helpful to know for this problem and for future reference.

It is not the box’s own search that was a problem, but YouTube’s. Which do you mean?
Edit: Just rechecked on my 5000T and still not right.
I entered a letter A into the search once inside YouTube and then as soon as I tried to enter another letter, the keypad vanished.
Appears to be working correctly here on my 4000t.

Appears to be OK on my 5000T. Searched for nightwish and video plays back.
Apologies for earlier confusion. Yes I meant the YouTube search is working for me on my 4000T and 5000T.
All very strange, especially as others have reported the same problem, not just me. Must keep an eye on this.

Still a problem for me, checked a 5000T and HB1100S both have problems with YouTube search.

Thank you. It’s impossible to search, won’t let the back button work and renders the whole operation useless. Someone is making a real pigs ear of this. Let’s hope we have a better and quicker response this time. I’d love to know what the cause is and who is responsible. Is it Humax or is it YouTube?
Same search & back button problem for me (HDR-1000S)
Well I just checked again and I definitely have NO problems with YouTube search on either my 4000T or 5000T. I can’t be the only lucky one surely? (and don’t call me Shirley…etc)
YouTube search on my Humax not working also “stop” button one has to exit & reenter YT. My machine & controller is fine work for Netflix, Iplayer etc
problem definitely with YT after it was reset. Humax needs to sort this out with YT!
