InactiveSince the last update, June 2015, my Humax HDR-1010S keeps restarting itself. This did not happen before the update so please can we have a speedy resolution to this.

InactiveTry a Factory Default reset in Settings. It worked (so far) for me.
You will lose your planned recording schedule, but not recordings already made.

Around 23:00 last night and the box crashed after 3 days of reliable viewing.
This was with a 1010S and it rebooted, although it comes back with a green picture which only takes up the left side of the screen, but this is more down to my Sharp TV I think as it has happened before with other devices (PS3) that have been restarted. This means I have to switch off the 1010S and restart.

InactiveMy HDR-1000S just restarted on me. It happened whilst I was on pause (live 5USA) making a cup of tea. I had already tried a Factory Reset.
I notice the bug in Factory Reset is still there.
Manually configure broadband connection.
Factory Reset
Go back to manually configure broadband connection and the Secondary DNS is still there. Just goes to show how little testing is done.

InactiveQuote:Software update 16 June 2015Update 24 June 2015
Following last week’s software update for Humax Freesat+ HD with Freetime boxes some of our viewers have been having issues with boxes rebooting intermittently.
Some improvements have been made on Monday evening, which we believe has made the reboots a lot less frequent, but there have still been some reports of the issue recurring.
Humax and Freesat are continuing to investigate and apologise for the inconvenience caused.
We will continue to work to resolve the situation and will provide another update in due course.
However, we’ve made the decision to make the previous version of the software available if any customer would like to revert back. This is available via the Humax website.
There are a few simple steps to follow, all detailed on the website.
Thanks for your patience with this issue.

@Faust
”If you had read this forum prior to the update you would probably have gone out and bought two. It is without doubt the best sat box money can buy – e.g. it’s head and shoulders above the Sky+ HD box I used to use.”
I have a busy life, when i fork out for some thing i expect it to work. Looking back at the forums, every time there is an software update, problems start. Freesat/Humax must be using some cutprice testing of their OADs.
I realise how annoying this sort of thing is and sympathise. Example,iOS 9 has crippled my IPad and yet Apple do nothing months after the software was released.
At least Humax are giving you the option of rolling back the update.

geoffc spotted it first. I saw his post and went looking to see if it was really official. I’m still a little puzzled – didn’t think the box would accept a lower-numbered version.

Apple give you the option not to update. My iPad is still on version 6.

InactiveGeoffc where did you find the previous software download link you mentioned earlier? I can’t find it anywhere. Please can you confirm web address? Are you looking at the BETA one that has been there for ages? Thank you.

This is true, and they also give you the option to roll back. However, that option only lasts a matter of a few days and if you haven’t found all the bugs by then you’re stuffed.
At least Humax/Freesat are listening. Have you ever tried to get Apple to listen? Every piece of software I seem to download these days has issues, with the response from companies ranging from very good to simply ‘forget it’.

It will accept any version via USB flash. However unless the new version has also been pulled it will offer or auto update the next day. My guess is the new version has been pulled.

InactiveInteresting. My box shut down at about 2300 last night as well. That’s a few of us now it happened to at roughly the same time. Coincidence? Or more to it I wonder?
