InactiveUpdate: ITV-HD is back on channel 119. Thanks for pointing that out.
Stability wise. Yesterday afternoon powered the box on from standby via remote and within 2 minutes it reset and killed the GP qualifying that was recording at the time. Had to power back on manually via the remote. Could not restart recording with red record button or from the planner. Program showed part recorded.
Today all stable so far but no recordings in progress at switch on.
Will not be happy if next Sundays Touring Cars gets interrupted by the same problem as its 7 hours long…..
Lets hope the Humax boffins have a good fix by then.
Also anyone having problems with Channel 4 Player? Tried to watch an E4 program, adverts OK but the program itself was all corrupted with psychedelic colours and bits of screens from the channel we were watching prior to starting the player. Fortunately program is being repeated soon to had to set it up for that.

InactiveJust registered so I can add my own frustration to this thread. My Humax box started rebooting its little self this week following the update. As a result I’ve had a couple of failed recordings which is very annoying.
Earlier this week, my new wifi dongle arrived from China (£4.70 off ebay). It’s still working fine.

InactiveAlso just registered to add my twopence worth.
I have the white 1010s. Last Thurs, Friday the machine started rebooting itself every 5 mins or so. This started about 21.30 and lasted for around an hour. I had a recording scheduled for 22.00 on both nights. Last night, Saturday, it switched itself off at 21.42 and I had to turn it back on. That was the only incident.
Interesting that it doesn’t happen during the day.
WiFi is fine, using the built in and a net gear wireless extender.
As far as I know the channels, on demand and everything else is OK.
I will repost if there is any change.

InactiveJust like to add my ‘3 pennyworth’ had HDR 1010S for approx 18 months no problems, running fine.
Until around the date of the software update and ever since it has been rebooting at least twice every evening.
Both when recording and not, also when watching On Demand channels.
Have reset box as mentioned earlier and also have contacted Humax support.

InactiveJust noticed a message published on freesat site, at least they’ve acknowledged they’re aware:
“Update 19 June 2015
We’re aware of some issues on Humax Freetime recorders with some boxes rebooting unnecessarily.
Humax and Freesat are looking into this to get it resolved as soon as possible.
We will provide further feedback in due course.”

InactiveThe new software was downloaded to my 1000S on the 20th June. Since then the box has been rebooting four or five times a day, during watching tv and recording stuff.
So, let me get this straight. I had a perfectly serviceable device that performed perfectly well for my requirements until someone decided to “upgrade” the software. I was not asked if I wanted to “upgrade” the software, I was not even advised it was going to happen. And now I have box of (expletive deleted by admin) sitting under my television that as far as I am concerned is not fit for purpose.
Would Humax find it acceptable if I walked into their factory unannounced, revised their production line without their knowledge, and screwed it up? No, I thought not.
There is no point contacting Humax or Freesat, you just get the run around from their minions. I suggest as many users as possible contact the BBC Watchdog program. Let’s try and get some publicity on this – that may make the people at the top sit up and do something.

InactiveI’m hoping for a quick fix as the firmware updates are quite far apart and why oh why can’t they mass downgrade to the previous version while they fix the problem??
Mine shuts down instead of rebooting now after factory reset and I notice the screen freezes before this happens. Has anyone disabled the buffer to see if it helps? Gonna try it as I have nothing to lose, and won’t all these sporadic reboots damage the hard disk I can hear it crash when the box does.

Update: disabling the buffer was unsuccessful, box rebooted in a few minutes

InactiveI have made the suggestion of reverting to previous software to Humax and Freesat – lets see their response.
Can I suggest we all do the same?
I bought my box less than two weeks ago and this is shambolic.

InactiveUPDATE: I uninstalled the Freesat App from my phone and carried out the factory reset as advised on this forum.
So far, the 1010s is stable although many of the ‘bugs’ remain i.e. lack of indicators on the front panel etc.
I would also like to point out that I have a NOW TV box and the ITV player on that looks alot better and more user friendly to the version on the 1010s. Does anyone know if the various catch up services ever get updated? The BBC IPlayer looks similar.

InactiveFreesat replied to my suggestion regarding reverting to previous software. Here’s the reply from Freesat-
“We are sorry for the issues and we’re investigating all potential options to resolve asap”
NOTHING from Humax.

It is believed to be a unexpected result of the latest software update. Other issues also have been found and are being investigated.

InactiveFurther to my original post, i have contacted both Freesat support and Humax support, neither have replied.
I have, subsequently, suggested to them both that, we revert to the previous version of software.
The box still continues to reboot,..
