Hi I wondered if someone could help me. On previous versions of Humax I’ve been able to use the remote control to turn off the TV. I’ve read through the manual and weirdly this describes a STB and TV button. I don’t have these. I have a TV/AV button in the middle of the remote. However, the instructions say to press the button for 3 seconds until the light blinks. I don’t have a light.
Please help!

How old is your box? On early versions (up to about 1 year ago) the R/C had no TV control function. From your description you have an old version of the R/C.
The Foxsat remote will work well if you still have it.

I bought the Freesat 1010S (the white one) in September 2014. The remote is what came in the box.

Third time lucky!!
I’ve had to resort to dropbox:

It looks similar to my HB1000S remote except mine’s black. Plus the “TV” button (mine) is labelled “TV/AV” (yours) and the “STB” button (mine) has got an inscrutable icon on yours. Ten to one this icon is intended to convey “STB”.
What happens if you treat the top left button as the STB button and the Top middle button as TV?
The “TV/AV” button does nothing so far as I can tell. The other button (top left) is mute, not STB and this functions as a mute button.

Correction – I overlooked the change on the second row of buttons. Looks like the “TV/AV” button now serves as a STB/TV toggle?
