InactiveHey,
Loving this PVR – when I was using the youview box I had an attenuator attached bringing the signal down from 100% to around 65% (on the advice of Youview as some channels had disappeared). I am getting occasional messages on screen saying the channel signal is too week then the picture appears, this is mainly the HD channels (particularly the ones on COM 7). I have tried popping the attenuator back in situ with not much luck. Signal strength is around 98-100% with similar for the quality.
Any advice?
Rick.

ParticipantCom 7 and Com 8 are transmitted using lower power than the other Mux.
Can you first check that you aren’t receiving from multiple transmitters (Channels over 800 in the epg).
Next get an estimate as to your local reception conditions. Use your postcode here, and select detailed view.

InactiveNo channels over 800 being received and it appears that I am potentially receiving signals from multiple transmitters (I can inbox you the direct link if that helps?)

Channels over 800 means you are receiving multiple transmitters. When an auto scan finds duplicates it stores them at 800 up. This is clearly not an issue.
A screengrab from the DTG reception site would be of interest.

ParticipantYou must be using Oxford (only one with Com 7). If you look at the colours the MUX in green shows good reception, com 7 and Com 8 are much weaker. Did you actually tune to a COM 7 channel (107 for instance) before checking signal strength and quality ?
If you open manual tune, enter channel 31 and select DVB-T2 you should see the real reception figures.
A remotely powered masthead amp installed as close to the aerial as possible (in the loft will do) or a higher gain aerial might resolve the issue.

InactiveTuning into Ch 107 and bringing up the signal test gives me tuner 1 with 100% strength and 100% quality.
Doing as you said and searching using your method brings up zero channels and strength and quality at 0%. This is the screen before I do the manual search:
I live in flats with a shared aerial, so your suggestion re. a remotely powered masthead amp isn’t possible. How can the signal strength and quality both be 100% (such as on ch 107) yet cause intermittent problems? It’s confusing! Incidentally I have none of these problems when I watch freeview on my smart tv.

As Barry indicates you may not be getting COM 7 from Oxford, though from your DTG screen shot it hard to know where else.
Did you remember to change to DVB-T2 (not DVB-T) ?

InactiveCH32 is displayed – so I have done the manual search with ch32 and the strength is 98% and the quality is 100%.

How weird perhaps UKfree TV has the incorrect info
https://ukfree.tv/transmitters/tv/Oxford
What channel does it say on the DTG page, it’s too low res to read properly on your image ?

InactiveIt’s all confusing. Still non the wiser. How come my smart tv is ok but the humax is like this?

I am guessing there is an issue with the communal install and that the signal is just too high for the box sensitive tuners. Can you tell us what channel the DTG site says COM 7 uses on Oxford. If it really is 31, the communal system is doing something very peculiar.
