ModeratorAppears to be on air for the HDR 1000/1010S.
Whilst I was aware it might happen today, I would have thought freesat would have made an announcement prior to it going on air, along with the official release note 🙄

InactiveWhat’s the update include?
June 25, 2014 at 4:32 pm #53281Anonymous
InactiveIt is believed that freesat are looking for the release notice.

ModeratorIt is up to freesat to provide the list of changes/updates, however as they do not appear to be interested I will go out on a limb, but don’t quote me on this:
• Fixed the trailer booking flashing issue.
• Removed the shadow effect when pausing / play bar on screen.
More then that I cannot comment on at this time.

InactiveGood news about the flashing banner and even better about the removal of the shadow.

InactiveOk so just had a look and notice that if you press info while live you do still get a dark shadow covering the bottom of the screen, but pressing info during chase play or pause there is no dark shadow at all.
Definitely a step in the right direction, now if only in the next update they can remove the dark shadow completely.

InactiveAnd we’ve still got half the screen with a dark shadow effect when the trailer banner is on screen too
.

InactiveNext test is have they fixed the black, blank screen when backing out of a recording. It’s absurd, but all too typical of Freesat, that they release a s/w update with no release notes.

ModeratorOver 24 hours later and still no official announcement or acknowledgement on their own forum. 🙄

InactiveA scenario that is perfectly possible, given Freesat’s performance to date, is that this was released by mistake and now they’re scrambling around trying to figure out exactly what has been released.

InactiveI called Freesat this morning, and spoke to a lady called Emma. She informed me, that not all update notices are published, only if it is something quite significant.

No, happened to me last night on new firmware.
I wish they’d fix mediaplayer. Really annoying it has such a small file limit and several other bugs.

Thanks. I tried to reproduce it last night and did not find it. Which brings me to this…

We don’t know whether they claim to have fixed it and have not fully succeeded, or have not attempted a fix at all.
