InactiveI have just bought a FVP-4000T and when trying to set up channels it doesn’t find the HD channels (inc. Film 4+1). There doesn’t seem to be an option to scan for them.
Firmware has been updated. Reset and scanned for Channels a few times, nothing seems to change.
I have looked at the manual scan options but the channel list only goes up to 69.
Anyone have any ideas?

ParticipantHi Welcome to our forum. You are confusing the UHF channel used by the MUX you are missing with the logical channel numbers allocated by the epg.
First info we need to identify the UHF channels used in your area is which transmitter you get your signals from.

ModeratorWelcome to our Forum

There is an issue with the auto tuning on latest software.
As Graham has stated post the transmitter you receive signals from.

InactiveWell thanks. I learned something today.
I had no clue as to what you were talking about so my friend google helped translate. Where I live 514000 was the magic number for a manual search

All stations now working.
Cheers

InactiveHi guys, I’m new to all this but it’s obviously good brain exercise. Am I in the right topic to ask how one forces the HD tuning channel from one region to replace what the autotune has found? I am in the notorious Wokingham area with both Hannington (H) and Crystal Palace (CP) transmitters. My strongest is CP and all other channels have tuned to this. For BBC B mux it has tuned to H (channel 39) rather than CP (ch 30) and seems to ignore any attempt to manually tune channel 30).

What signal strength and quality for Chan 30 do you receive?
You may have to manually tune your unit for all muxes from CP.

InactiveHi Barry, on the TV I get 85 strength and 100 quality from 30.
39 on Humax is on/off and all over the place.
So, clear all tuning and manually tune CP? Do DVBT or DVBT2 make a difference here? I note that on Autotune it runs through all muxes twice.
Thanks, Fred

ModeratorApologises I am having internet drop out issues so can only get online now again at the moment.
Autotune does run through all muxes twice first for SD then HD.
I would manually tune all SD first (DVBT)
For CP this would be 22, 23, 25, 26, 28, 29 (local mux if you can receive it)
Then HD (DVBT2) 30, 33, 35

InactiveHi, The original post says that the user is unable to get Film4 in HD. I was under the impression that this was not available. Am I wrong? If so, can anyone tell me what I need to do to get it.
Thanks

Whether or not you can get Film 4 in HD, depends on which transmitter you get your Freeview TV from. If you post this information someone will be able to help.

InactiveHi, I have a choice of two. Sutton Coldfield is the main transmitter and there is a local one Leamington Spa. I have already noted the channel numbers for both transmitters. The local transmitter only shows 3 channels which are for BBC A, D3 & 4 and BBCHD. Would it be best to use the local channel numbers where there is an overlap?

InactiveThe OP actually said “it doesn’t find the HD channels (inc. Film 4+1)”.
That’s because Film4+1 is transmitted on an HD Multiplex.
Film4 HD is NOT available on Freeview.

It’s a bad idea to receive from two transmitters (it meeses up series and accurate recordings), you will get all the available channels if you can get all the Mux from Sutton Coldfield. I can’t get COM 7 HD mux which as above has Film4+1. I wasn’t aware that it’s a SD channel on a HD mux.
Check reception on UHF 33 DVB-T2 to see if you can get COM 7.
