Hello , I am new to the forum and a working service engineer.
we have a few pvr 9200t that have lost the tuning after doing the update on the Humax site 1.00.26.
has any body got the old software that was working that was the 1.00.23 I can try please.

You don’t have to have dropbox account to download although it will try to encourage you to set one up. I’ve just downloaded without a dropbox account and compared a copy I had from Humax years ago with the freshly downloaded copy and they are identical (checked via SH1).
I don’t believe that there has been a 1.00.26 for the 9200T. The Humax site I think you are referring to only has 1.00.26 for the 9300T and the 9150T. There are some hardware differences which if you tried to use one of those would account for a 9200T not fully working when loaded with the 1.00.26 version for the other two models in the series.

Whereabouts in the country are you? There have been reception problems due to unusual atmospheric conditions which might account for the problem. I wasn’t aware of the 1.00.26 software version; where did you download it from?

I am very confident that 1.00.26 for a 9150T or 9300T would not be installed unless the file had been modified to match the expected signature for a 9200T (I know how to do it but I have been very careful not to publish the information) and if it has been loaded then the box would be bricked rather than unable to tune.

Yes I agree. But i was taking it that middz had somehow updated to a 1.00.26.
@Middz, are you sure that the 9200Ts aren’t still on 1.00.23?

the humax units are PVR-9300t (my mistake sorry )
we have 3 in that were working ok till they got to update 1.00.26 from the humax site .
they were on 1.00.23 and tuned in no problem.

on another note we have in a PVR-9300T that is on 1.00.27 this tunes in ok but i cant find that version on the Humax site ?

Which Humax site are you looking at?
I have a vague feeling that 1.00.27 appeared on very late production machines, but was never released as an upgrade…or am I dreaming?
1.00.26 is a very old, though current, version for the 9300T. We still have one as a backup PVR (though rarely used now) and have had no problems with 1.00.26 despite it being updated in 2011.

I have a vague feeling that 1.00.27 appeared on very late production machines, but was never released as an upgrade…or am I dreaming?
Many moons ago there were ‘behind the scenes’ attempts to cure the consecutive recording problem on the 9150/9300 machines, this resulted in software version 28 (and maybe 27) but as you say bmax I’m fairly sure these versions were never released to the general public. Version 28 certainly didn’t cure the consecutive recording problem but my partner’s 9300 has been running on version 28 since 2013 without any further problems so I’ve left it on 28.

I’m puzzled why you can’t tune the machines using software version 26, there must be loads of 9300 still in use and running version 26. If there is a problem with version 26 tuning this forum would have been full of it back in the day.

Interesting, I’d totally forgotten that. No resolution or conclusion though so we’re still in the dark. I have a friend with a 9300 running v26, I’ll check his loader version.
