InactiveI’ve noticed this past week all the “Great!” Channels have stopped working. They work for the first 5 – 10 seconds the the screen goes blank except for a red dot and “Great player” showing.
I’ve done a factory reset and retune of channels but that didn’t fix it.
Anyone else encountering this ?

InactiveMy Aura does the same. Clearly a fault introduced by Great, or a cynical method of forcing people to their player.
Only solutions I’ve found so far.
1) Disconnect the Aura from the internet. I did this and the channels worked.
2) Either quickly press record or set a timer for the channel. Then watch the recording back a minute or so later.

Thanks option 2 seems like the easier option to try….i don’t fancy unplugging the Ethernet cable every time.

Or Use wifi and switch it on and off

InactiveMy Aura does a similar thing. The PIP in the guide is fine but going to the main screen it goes blank for a time then recovers for a bit – repeating this until I give up and watch another channel!

When the screen goes black, press the red button on the control to open Great Movies. When you exit it,you go back to a black screen, but after a few seconds the film then shows up. I will report back if I find this stops working.

InactiveI’m having exactly the same issue! The only way I’ve found of getting round it is to actually just record the entire programme and then watch it back later! It’s just so frustrating….

InactiveOne thing I have realised about Humax boxes (and probably most people on here know this too!) is that they are totally quirky. My parents had one years ago, and kept thinking it was going wrong, but it wasn’t, it was just badly behaved. Then they got a new one a year or two back, and that too has its quirks. When we got this aura 2tb recently, I said to my other half that it will probably do weird things, and sure enough it does! I have just managed to set up the Aura app so I can set recordings etc, and that was just bizarre too. Still, weird as it is, I would still rather have Humax than Virgin, which we shall be leaving soon!

I don’t think reprogrammed is the correct terminology. The existing Humax software remains in place and continues to provide the existing functionality. The custom firmware sits alongside it and adds extra functionality.

InactiveI’m seeing this problem too. But I think it now only affects some great! Channels. Examples, movies works, action doesn’t. I get the black screen on action and pressing red doesn’t start the (not so) great app.
I think the great app is just not launching properly on the action channel. On the movies channel I no longer get the prompt to start the app with the red button.
None of this is an issue on TVs, just then Humax aura. Of course
