InactiveFound the “Aura” app downloaded, installed and linked to my box via the code.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/dev?id=6676511199195761525
Seem to populate OK but I’m sure there will be enough to complain about later
Update
On Now – live TV working
TV Guide – not populating
Schedule – not populating
Recordings – Populates and plays
Downloads – Not tested yet

InactiveWhich app, because I can’t find it in the PlayStore anywhere?
Found it.
Tap on “new” and it shows up.

InactiveGot it working here too. Just tried to watch a live channel which took a few seconds of spinning circles but eventually played fine in a window, much as it does when viewed through a browser.
Seems to work functionally enough, no real bells or whistles. Currently using via LAN, not tried via WAN.

InactiveHD recordings stream fine without being converted for offline viewing; presumably it converts on the fly.
Each playback takes about 10s to start flowing, but not had any issues here so far. I like the “send to TV” option, which I presume (though not tested) prompts the box to start displaying whaever you’re watching so you can migrate from phone to TV easily (not that it’s really a hassle anyway!).
If this works reliably, this’ll do me for everything that I need an app to do around the house. I don’t travel so offline viewing won’t be something I would need to ever use.

InactiveWahey!
Happy for the Android peeps. Now, just waiting for an iPhone app.

InactiveGiven it’s an android box, I’m mildly surprised they are even doing an iPhone app (slightly tongue in cheek – I appreciate that there are too many iOS users out there to ignore!)

Woah. I always forget Android is a google thing. For me google is high quality but my android devices say otherwise. Well, fingers crossed then otherwise might have to get an old android phone out the cupboard as have a spare one I haven’t given away yet.

InactiveApp downloaded installed fine (after the initial difficulty finding it, might be good to label it ‘Humax Aura’), and it linked to my Aura fine. ‘On Now’ works once it has loaded, and I can see all of my recorded content, but the TV Guide doesn’t populate (this is several hours after installing the app).
Running on an Android 8 device.

InactiveCan anyone confirm if it will be available for iOS?

Mine populated in around 2 mins. Both my devices are running Android 10.

InactiveWhen my phone is on the same wifi as the Aura all 5 options are there and appear quickly. The ‘TV Guide’ correctly shows the programs I have set to record.
The ‘View Live’ option on ‘TV Guide’, the ‘play’ button on both ‘On Now’ and ‘Recordings’ all work as expected.
When not on wifi ‘On Now’ and ‘Recordings’ are greyed out as is the option to ‘Watch Live’ in the ‘TV Guide’.
Presumably this stops viewing of copyrighted material away from home. You can still set a program to record.
So far, so good.
Wish list: Filter the ‘TV Guide’ and ‘On Now’ for HD only, as on the unit itself.
Now for the firmware upgrade!
