InactiveHumax 1000S with Philips TV
I did a hard reset because sound and subtitles were out of sync – that is ok now but I cannot get a response from the Freeplay button on my tv remote.
I have been through numerous settings but no success.
I don’t want to loose my recordings so reluctant to reset Humax box completely.
Suggestions please for a ‘going around in circles’ senior citizen

Humax 1000S with Philips TV
I cannot get a response from the Freeplay button on my tv remote.
Please would you clarify.
Are you referring to the freeview play button on your TV’s remote?
The freeview play button on most Philips remote is marked by a stylised large red f followed by “Play” in smaller print.
To use the TV’s freviewPlay button make sure that your TV is connected to the internet. The TV needs its own connection as it can’t directly use the Humax’s connection.
Also use the Sources button, on your TV’s remote, to make sure that the TV’s screen is displaying from the TVs own internal capabilities and not an HDMI source.

InactiveHi Luke
Yes, that’s the button.
I have always used the Humax HDMI 1 as the connection but I now see that there is an orange + sign next to it that I am sure wasn’t there before.
Should I now change this?

InactiveI have just turned off my TP Link box and the tv still plays as before so I am guessing my tv is not using the internet.
Totally confused now – cannot find how to connect tv to internet.
I do feel that the sound is different since my reset but cannot be sure because of poor hearing anyway.

Use of your TV’s freeview play button is nothing to do with the Humax.
To use your TV’s freeeview pay button relies on your TV having an internet connection. For your TV model the user guide gives the following to check its current internet connection
Settings > Wireless and Networks > Wired or Wi-
Fi > View Network Settings
When you look that up what does it report?

InactiveThank you for clarifying that about the Humax box and for your continued help.
Attached of 3 photos of what happens, I don't understand the restricted access at all but will have a look online whilst I wait.

InactiveAll sorted now.
Thank you for the replies, it really helped to know it was nothing to do with the Humax box as I was getting really confused about things.
