InactiveHi everyone, has anyone else had this problem please.
New Aura box 6 weeks ago, all set up, all working ok on everything except….
When trying to record programmes from Channel 83 TogetherTV, the prograammes appear on the recorded list as being recorded and ok, but when trying to view them all I get is a black screen/no audio and with no time progress movement on it. I can fast forward the black screen and start and stop it just like another recorded programme, but all that is presented on screen is a black picture.
Many thanks
James

I would suggest you report the problem to Humax.

InactiveChannel 83 isn’t available via an aerial all the time (6pm -? aerial). You might be trying to record something delivered over the internet, which the Aura can’t do. Unfortunately the EPG shows all programmes, not just those recordable.

Thanks, I didn’t know the end time. I think it’s likely the OP tried to record outside those times. Even if connected to the internet the Aura won’t record the streaming service although you can probably watch the channel (don’t know for certain as I haven’t tried!)

InactiveHi, thanks for the responces.
Have spoken to Humax support and they have told me to Factory reset and then format the HDD !
A little severe for a 6 week old box.

Sorry Phil do not understand this. If I tell the EPG thingy to record a programme at 2300 hrs say on channel 83, I would expect it to do it at that time, I do not dictate when the machine can record it ??
cheers
James

Please would you give some actual examples of programmes that this has happened with, and each of their scheduled start and end times?

Why do you think Channel 83 is a streaming service. I am assuming the Channel 83 the OP is using is Together TV which is transmitted on the SDN multiplex?

You are correct Martin. The ever changing Together TV on LCN 83 is currently not a hybrid channel. The streaming service is available on LCN 90 (Together TV +1) during that channel’s non-broadcast hours.
But:
LCN 83 (Together TV) is still, as EEPhil explained, a channel that is only broadcast part time, but for the the non-broadcast hours on freeview are still confusingly including programmes in the EPG. This can, and does, cause various issues and confusion.

Because I’m mixing it up with another channel that is! Attempting to record an internet stream or a “data service” caption (as my TV puts it) has the same effect – no recording.
