InactiveCarch-up on my Humax HDR 11008 has stopped working after years of faultless use.
Internet connection is fine as i-player etc are working OK.
I’ve powered it off and on again.
I’ve done a factory reset.
I’ve re-booted my Internet hub.
Everything works fine except catch-up. Start from beginning symbol is not displayed and trying to scroll left does nothing.
Any ideas anybody ?

InactiveA number of services for the HDR-1100S ceased to be supported from 12th August.
The freesat announcement explained that this is “part of ongoing improvements to our service”.
See this link for the announcement and what has been removed.
Removal of connected services from some Freesat Humax devices
What is happening?
As part of ongoing improvements to our service, from the 12 August 2025 we’re removing some services on older Freesat & Humax G2 devices purchased between 2013 and 2019. Your Freesat device will continue to work as normal outside of these select changes, including showing all the usual broadcast TV channels, providing a functional user interface and accessing the TV Guide. Audiences can continue to enjoy the same channel line-up alongside a number of on demand players.
What devices will be affected?
The devices affected by this change are older models sold between 2013 and 2019:
Humax HDR-1100S
Freesat Recorder 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB
HB-1100S non-recordable Freesat Receiver
Which services are being removed?
The following services will no longer be available:
Scrolling Backwards on the TV Guide and Deep linking functionality
Showcase (recommendations) and Deep linking functionality
Search functionality
Will I still be able to use On Demand services?
On Demand services via the following players will continue to be available:
BBC iPlayer
5
STV Player
Watch Free U
Netflix
France 24
YouTube
To access On Demand apps devices will need to be connected to broadcast (Satellite RF) and internet.
Will I still be able to watch broadcast TV?
Yes. Devices will continue to show broadcast TV, have a functional user interface and TV Guide as long as the device is connected to Satellite RF broadcast. There will be no loss to available broadcast channels.

InactiveSo Humax can just remove paid for functionality from my device with no compensation. Surely they can’t legally do this. I paid for it!

Humax aren’t removing it, Freesat are. I’m sure that you will have seen and agreed to their terms and conditions, which will almost certainly mention that they may add or remove features.

InactiveThank you both for your helpful answers. I now understand the situation and at least I can stop trying to fix the problem.
However buying a new freesat box is a problem as how do I know which model freesat will support in the future?

If you buy the latest model Freesat recorder, you will be more likely to have longer support than an older model.

Has freesat turned off the search on Humax dvrs?
If you look at the link in post #2 of this thread, it clearly says the search functionality has been removed.

Inactive“Incorrect link – the link is currently not available”
After pressing the iPlayer icon from the On Demand menu, on my Humax HDR-1000S.
Problem started on 17th August; it was working on 16th.
Other on-Demand channels available, e.g. 5, youtube

InactiveTalked to FReesat, they suggested turning the humax off for at least a minute.
Tried that, no difference.
Freesat then suggested calling Humax (on 0344 318 8800).

InactiveI have noticed the same problem with iPlayer over the last 2 days although it could have gone on for longer as I use it on my TV and only occasionally o my HDR 1100s.
I have resorted to contacting Humax via email.

InactiveMy HDR1100S also lost On Demand at the same time as TV guide catchup was removed.
I’ve had this from Humax supt.:
“We have been receiving an elevated number of calls and emails regarding the same issue (on-demand applications not working correctly for Freesat boxes), so it seems to be widespread, and not just your Humax device.
We have escalated this internally to see if our headquarters can fix this remotely.”
