    Any help appreciated.

Was the Aura remote previously paired with another TV?

If so you may have to reset the Aura remote control, see page 8 of the Aura manual.

Go to page 7 of the manual for TV pairing instructions.

Thank you VitaminD, Have tried all the ‘usual’ Google suggestions but still not working. I think it could have something to do with CEC or One Key settings?

As far as I know, the Sharp/Roku is CEC compatible as well as the Humax Aura.

I’ve had no problems with previous HUmax pvrs, enter one of the codes, tv switches off

    etc.

Sharp/Roku TV & Aura both new, not used before.

Thanks to VitaminD re previous posts:

“Humax Aura remote control not pairing with Sharp/Roku tv”.

I’m finally ‘getting there’. The Aura remote will now switch both the tv & pvr on.

I can then use either from that screen.

The problem remaining is that the Humax remote will not switch the tv off, which

means I have to use the tv remote to switch it off.

The very small power button at the top of the Aura remote control should switch the TV on and off.

As your Sharp/ Roku TV is much newer than the Aura (it hasn’t had any major updates in nearly 4 years)

have you checked to see with Sharp if there are new codes for the TV that you may try to get ‘paired’.

Can you say how you are achieving this. Both turn on with one press of big power button (CEC) or turn Aura on with big power button and TV with small power button (IR). And how are you trying to turn them off, one press of big power button or big and small button?

    Thank you Dave480.

Both turn on with Humax big pwr button.

Try to turn both off with big pwr button but only Aura turns off.

No response at all from small pwr button.

Remote pairing not working (as per onscreen instructions) – tv not switching off when codes are entered!

I follow onscreen instructions – none of the codes turn tv off so cannot

‘lock’ code as shown in onscreen display.

The big button uses CEC to control both. The little buttons use IR.

VitaminD may be right and the codes are not available so I would for the moment forget trying to “Pair” them (which is IR) as you should be able to achieve On/Off, AV Select and Volume using CEC. I say “should” as different companies have implemented CEC in different ways.

Turn on CEC and One Key on the Aura then find the CEC settings in your TV (different companies call it different things, Panasonic call it Viera Link, so may not be labelled CEC) my TV has settings that allow On and Off to work independently if yours does this may be why it’s turning On but not Off.

Not tried it but Aura says Volume can also be controlled over CEC so if your lucky you wont need to “Pair” them anyway.

    Thank you Dave480.

Have done checks etc you suggested.

Checked CEC & One Key on both tv & Aura.

Will probably leave things as they are now – its not too much to

use TV remote to switch it off.

Yes, the vol on the Aura remote controls it very nicely.

The Aura remote switches both the Sharp tv & Humax Aura on but like

    I said – not off.

    Thank you for your help.

    Peruvial.
