InactiveHi all, been a while. An Aura we have simply powers down, sits a few seconds and starts up again. Runs fine then will do it again after a while.
Blew out the vents to see if clogged up …. a bit of dust and fluff came out but not so much that would obviously concern.
Unit does sit on it’s end due to space issues. not sure if that can impact operation. When unit works, it works fine … just drops.
Interested if anyone have any ideas or had same issue or knows the fault/fix.
Many thanks

InactiveAmongst many other issues, mine does this frequently.
Hopefully, the new update, which I believe is imminent (don’t hold your breath!) will cure this and other issues.
Try a full reset and start again, which is what I’m gonna do later today!
Good Luck.

InactiveTry a channel rescan first. I get this every few months or so but once it starts it happens a lot, till I do a rescan.
If this does not help do as Zoso suggests and do a full reset, this doesn’t delete recordings.

InactiveI find that most problems can be resolved by a full powerdown; that is unplugging at the mains for a few minutes. I have set a time switch to power down for 30 mins overnight and find that I now have very few problems with the unit. Doing this preserves recordings and schedules.

I agree that is a reasonable thing to do but you could power down for a couple of minutes an get the same effect. How are you getting round the slower startup after a power down? One way would be to schedule a short program eg a weather forecast for the early morning.

InactiveI set it for 30 mins as it was easy to set on the timer I had. The slower start up is not a problem as it happens at 3 am and by the time I’m up in the morning the Aura is ready to use. Not very green but I leave it on all the time during the day.

I was sceptical when I read this Dave but I tried it and it does seem to have a positive impact. Not sure how it can work but something seems better
Maybe thanks for the suggestion

I have done this in past but for sure, time has come to try it again. Thanks for the suggestion

Worth to try. I have one of these Meross Matter timers …. will give that a go. Sledgehammer for a nut but if it’s a solution then it’s a solution. Many thanks
