InactiveI’ve run various searches in this forum but can’t find the answer.
The series record on Channel 4 for F1 Highlights captured a later programme in the guide on the first day after the clocks went back one hour, so forced to watch ‘on demand’ and unable to skip the ad breaks. Is the only fix to set the recording by hand on the day?

InactiveAll the Humax boxes I have owned have adjusted themselves when the clocks change. I have not owned a 4000T or 5000T but surely they do too, I expect there is a setting you need to adjust.
EDIT This thread seems to confirm it auto adjusts…………..

Normally you should not have to intervene on adjusting times for programmes broadcast when the clocks change.
However on my Humax Aura I also noticed that the early morning broadcast of the Mexico GP highlights was affected by this and I ended up with Cats does Countdown and the first half hour of the GP.
Luckily I had also opted to include the later broadcast of the highlights which started at 9-30 am on CH4
which recorded perfectly.
I don’t think this is anything necessarily wrong with the boxes or their software but rather a problem with CH4 and its CRID data implementation. I tend to have Frasier set as a series link recording, over the past few months this has become erratic, where recordings are marked but looking forward in the guide sometimes you will see that what should be marked as a series recording is now empty. At the weekend I noticed that a few days ahead the series recording had been lost for Frasier again, re implementing it it was now selecting Cheers as well.
Hence why I think your issue with the GP was CH4s fault and not the box.
If you already have series recording set for the Brazill GP this weekend the race highlights will be broadcast on Sunday night at 10-00pm, but also shown on Monday morning 4th Nov at 9-45 am, so you can set up that recording manually to make sure you don’t miss out and have to put up with pesky adverts via streaming.

InactiveC4 moved the race highlights from the original 11:00pm slot to 01:30 in the morning but seem to have not linked that move to the original series link. That was not related to the clocks going back but slack work by the broadcaster.
That said, when the clocks change it it best to be safe and set a throaway record or wake up timer (or just fire the PVR up manually) for first thing in the morning before the first proper recording is due.

InactiveMy 5000T correctly updated the time overnight.
I have a daily timer set for 0700-0720 and when I got up just after 7 on Sunday it had come on as usual and went off at 20 past.

Thanks gomezz, that wouldn’t have helped the situation.
