Hi all, I have a 4000t box connected to a Virgin hub4. This has,supposedly, 1Gbps ethernet output to which is connected the box. When accessing the hub app and connected devices it shows the data rate is 100mbps (not 1Gbps). I thought it might be the cable ( common issue) but this is a brand new cat6 cable. Question is, is the Box capable of accepting 1Gbs or is the network card throttling it to 100mbps?
You Virgin hub has overall INPUT of 1Gbps
An FVP-4000T needs nowhere near 100Mbps yet alone 1Gbps.
For example, the highest quality on iPlayer needs 5Mbps (although there’s not much content at that quality)
Ultra HD content is up to 15Mbps
