InactiveI am connected via ethernet cable to my HDR-1800t router, and the Humax thinks it is connected via a diagram, but the portal says I am not connected, check internet.. Phone and laptop have no trouble though. Any ideas?

Is it a cable all the way to the router or you do you have Homeplug (or similar) ethernet over power devices making the connection? Was the setup working and has stopped working or is this a new setup? Have you tried changing the cable? Have you tried power cycling the router?

InactiveCable is direct to router, tried two cables, new setup. Not tried cycling router but will and then report back. Thanks!

Exactly what message are you getting when trying to connect to the portal? I assume you are wanting to use iPlayer?

InactiveTo be honest Martin I just want to get some channels like Failarmy, which just say, “Connect your freeview device to the Internet for more great TV” Iplayer would be a bonus, but if I could access the Internet all the better. Do I need a dongle? The Edimax Ew-7711uan seems the most recommended for my humax box? Thanks Paul

I don’t think a dongle will help. There are two types of IPTV and I think the HDR-1800T only supports the earlier standard MHEG see https://www.freeview.co.uk/help/viewing-ip-channels
I don’t know for sure whether Failarmy is using only HbbTV but if it is it will explain your problem.

InactiveThanks for the info Martin. So my best bet is to invest in the Humax FVP-5000 to keep up with current standards?
