    Thanks Barry

Just done it and the System id has changed to 80BC.7E00 its worked

    Your a star many thanks

Just a update i reinstalled the firmware that i hoped might have sorted the problem out that when turning it on it wont display a picture and would say on the TV NO Signal and enter some kind of boot loop also the hard drive would spin for a few seconds then stop and the only way i can get it to work is to unplug it for a while then plug it back in then it boots up as normal

    Anyone else had this problem?

    I think i bought a lemon

    Hi

I am trying to upgrade my HDR Fox T2 to the latest firmware and I have the same E-ID error as described in this post.

Apart from the MAC address, everything in my system is identical to the two pictures posted.

Please could someone provide the file/instructions which will allow me to reset the system id from 0000.00A0 to 80BC.7E00 so that I can update the firmware.

    Thanks

    Dave

    Thanks Barry

The file in the PM worked and the system ID is now correct.
