InactiveHi all, help required please! My 94 year old mother has a Humax freesat box and an older TV. She has a condition where her hands tremble and she therefore at times is pressing the wrong button and loses the freesat screen. It is a nightmare to reset and she certainly cannot do it so it means getting someone in. My question is does anyone use or know of a universal big button remote that will work her Humax freesat as I think this is the only way to overcome this problem.

InactiveIf she has the older Humax foxsat model then the remote will probably look like:
The newer Humax models’ remotes look like:
If your mother has a model that uses the old style remote then, after checking that the newer style has all the functions that she needs, then using the simplified version may be less problematic.
Presuming that your mother uses the original remote that came with the freesat box, which of the two remotes does your mother currently use?
(I have another possible avenue to follow but one at a time from me otherwise the discussion could get confusing.)

InactiveHi Luke, looking at the two remotes it is the second newer remote she has. Was hoping Humax produced one with big buttons but I have called them and they do not. I am hoping there may be a universal big button remote that will work with her Freesat box.

The instructions indicate that it is compatible with Humax devices.
