We have a Humax HDR 1100S Freetime, about 5 years old. Its very good, but has an annoying habit of chopping off the last few minutes of each programme we record. I believe ‘padding’ time could be added, but I don’t know how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

Which channels does this happen on?

There are two ways of getting padding on a recording. One is to set padding on all settings as follows:
Home > Settings > Gereral Settings > Recordings settings > Start padding and End padding. A setting of Auto uses the accurate record system which not all broadcasters follow.
The secong mentiod is via Recordings and then the RIGHT key to set a manual recording where you can control the channel start time and duration etc.
