If I pause a normal 5000T recording, I can clear the bits that are left at top and bottom by pressing Exit.
If, however, I try to do the same thing in iPlayer, the programme stops and I have to go back to finding the programme.
This is, for me, significant when watching Pointless (which keeps being disrupted on BBC1 by briefings), as being old, we need to pause to digest the lists of answer options and we don’t always get the BBC2 alternative and have to use iPlayer.
Is there an easy way to get rid of the bits at top and bottom in iPlayer?

Ah, OK SSThing, thanks. I will try that next time. I didn’t want to keep experimenting while we were watching something.

Edit2: Works on recordings too.
