Is there any way to increase the font size of the text of the information on a program or recording?
When I press I(Information) the resultant text is too small for this 80+ year old’s eyes.

This was added in the update from 12 April.
Settings > Channel & Broadcast > Font Size

Have you found, and adjusted the font size?
Yes, by x 16%, which improves things thank you.
(Settings/Channels & Broadcast/Font Size)
My system check for updates showed it as up to date – although it doesn’t seem to have been updated since Dec 21st ‘20 installation.

This 50-something’s eyes are bad too (I have retinopathy) and +16% really isn’t good enough for me but I guess it gives me some exercise moving from the sofa to the TV screen to read what the information says. The accessibility menu item allows you to change the size and appearance of subtitles, and that gives the option of using some really BIG fonts. I would prefer +50% and +100% font options.
Sighs wistfully. In the 90s I had a Panasonic TV that when you pressed the teletext button twice you got the text in double the size.
Hi Richard, I agree 16% is better, but doesn’t really cut it for me either.
Thanks for the tip about sub-titles which are essential to this very-hearing-challenged bloke.
How come 30 years ago I was using IBM’s speech recognition software and today with Mars in sight & 2nm chips in development, subtitles for the News and other live programmes are so hopeless?

I find the 16% much better than it was, however as you say a little bigger would be good maybe 20% and 25% options as at the same time you need to be able to read enough of the guide to know what the programme is which if the font was double size then this would be too much to see the detail in the guide.
