Humax DTR 1010 not connecting to internet?

I bought a DTR 1010 that was sold as faulty hard drive and I tested the drive and confirmed it was faulty, so fitted a new drive in it

I then went in to maintenance mode scrolled to internet recovery, keep recordings and it went on line, downloaded the firm/software and then was restarted and it went straight into the setup routine, but immediately came up with a message saying it cannot connect and on telling it to Auto Connect I get another message saying “We cannot connect to the internet.” and it is not possible to proceed further. Any ideas as to how it first connected when asked to update in maintenance mode and downloaded and restarted etc and then cannot go on line during setup and also is there any way of bypassing the part of setup to allow you to continue the setup without connecting.

    Any suggestions will be welcome

    Thanks mactoshb

From the Main Menu, under Freeview HD Section, you will see YouView DTR-T, so I guess it goes there, as for moving it, when I made a mistake before I just cut and pasted a new post in the correct section.

Unfortunately the OP is stuck, if the unit cannot connect you cannot proceed. A ridiculous decision by Youview to implement this.

A mobile phone setup to create a local WiFI hotspot may allow the box to be setup without a broadband connection.
