InactiveI have had my Humax PVR-3000T for many years, I guess I use it to record 2-4 times a day, and until about 5 weeks ago it never failed me.
About 5 weeks ago, I noticed that it had not recorded Antiques Roadshow on BBC1, and I just presumed I had made a mistake when setting it.
But then the following week, it did the exact same thing, and then again the following week, which really puzzled me.
And these last two weeks, it has done it more and more, failing to record a programme when it has been set properly and it is all very random, not the same channel or programme now.
Last night, I went to manually record a programme and the front display showed I was recording, but it was not showing as recording in the recorded programme menu, like it would normally do.
A further look at it this morning, and I now realise it did record the programme but over the top of something I had recorded weeks back, which is now showing as a duplicate, but it has been recorded over.
First thought was the hard drive was maybe full, but no it is showing 57% free.
Apart from the one programme I manually recorded, I also set it to timer record 4 programmes, 2 have recorded as normal, and the other 2 have recorded over a programme that I had yet to watch which is annoying.
So, now I am not sure what to do, is there some sort of fix for this problem, or should I just go and buy a new one?
Firmware is 1.00.26, July 7 2011
Any advice is much appreciated, thanks.

ParticipantFrom the model number that appears to be Humax Australia model, not sold here in the UK .
Local knowledge would be your best bet. Is there not a local Forum or Humax Australia support option ?

Those are classic signs of the file system getting corrupted. If you do nothing then the problem will get worse and eventually all your recordings will disappear. My advice is to watch any important recordings and then format the hard drive from the HDD Control menu item in the recordings menu. I would say there is a 50% chance this will fix the problem; if the problem reoccurs within a few weeks then it is an indication that the hard drive is failing. If the hard drive is failing then your options are to fit a new hard drive or buy another PVR.
