InactiveWhen watching recordings my box is frequently jumping back to the start of the program when watching or trying to fast forward beyond the point that it jumped. I can skip past the point where it jumps.

InactiveWhich box are you referring to?

InactiveApologies, I thought I’d posted this in the Aura section. Perhaps one of the mods could move it?

Is this a complete recording or one that is still recording. ie are you watching in chasing playback ?

Can’t say I have seen anything like this.
I have watched lots of recordings today without any problems,

InactiveIt’s quite repeatable. Watching a completed recording and all of a sudden it starts playing from the beginning. Fast forward to before the same jump point and it will re-start again. Sometimes fast forwarding through the jump point will cause it to restart. There can be multiple points in a recording where it will jump back to the start.
Using skip to get back (forward) to past the jump point does not seem to cause the same issue.

ParticipantNot repeatable for me. I watched a 90 min movie from Channel 5-HD today. Skipped all the ads. At the end pressed stop and deleted the recording.
What software version do you have on your box ?

InactiveNot just me then – didn’t think it could be. I am running the latest software version according to the updater.

Inactivei have had this a few times recently. Had to resort to catchup to see the end of the programmes (BBC1 and Channel 4)

InactiveYes same here, gets through the adverts and then goes back to the beginning of the recording. On some recordings every set of adverts this happens. Odd it’s not on every recording with adverts.

InactiveI had this occasionally before my signal booster was fixed.
It seems to me that it relates to a signal drop-out during the recording, which I guess is perhaps leading to a corrupted file at the given timestamp when the drop-out occurred and that caused playback to restart.
Are there any issues with signal quality on your Aura?

InactiveYes, you might be on to something here; I do have some intermittent signal strength/quality issues that could be the root cause of this.
I have to do something about it – I couldn’t watch a recording of the F1 highlights last night because every time I tried to fast forward through the adverts it jumped back to lap 22.
