    Hi,

I’ve got a humax hdr-1000s but only one of the receivers appears to be working.

I’ve swapped the input cables around and only 1 receiver is still working.

    Any ideas on a fix?

I presume you mean tuners. The box is a receiver. Why do you think only one tuner is working.

When you swapped the inputs what do you get on the TV and what before the swap ?

Can you give an example of what you think should work and does not. ?

    Sorry, tuners..

Tuner 1 has a good signal.

    Tuner 2 has no signal.

Both tuners should have a signal as they are both connected to the lnb.

“Tuner 1 has a good signal.

    Tuner 2 has no signal.”

If you swap the cables what do get?

What does it say at the bottom of the signal page?

Check the fitting of the F connector, it needs to make a good electrical circuit with no part of the braid or foil touching the inner wire. The braid or foil must be in contact with the F Connector.

If I swap the cables T1 still has good signal, T2 nothing.

It says connected with 1 cable.

Checked input cables as they both work on T1.

Looking like you may need a new lnb, or tuner 2 has failed (very rare) unless you have had water in the cabling that has got into the box. .

Try this to check tuner 2 is working.

Enter 104 to go to Channel 4 and press the instant record button to start a recording.

Enter 949 to go to BBC2-HD and press the instant record button to start a second recording.

Check you have both recordings in the recordings list.

    Exit recordings list.

Use channel up/down buttons to confirm you have 3rd viewing channels available,

I cannot record and watch something else at the same time.

I found an earlier post on the forum where it recommended a factory re-set.

I’ve just done that and now tuner 2 is working and has good signal.

    Must be a software glitch.

    Try again..

Image too large. Need to reduce longest side to about 1200 pixels.

looks like bad news. Any sign of moisture ingress on tuner 2 in ?

With only one tuner you are restricted to recording two from the same transponder.

eg BBC1-HD and BBC2-HD should be recordable.

    example.

    102 BBC Two HD 10847 V

    106 BBC One HD 10847 V

    600 CBBC HD 10847 V

    971 BBC Two HD Wales 10847 V

    972 BBC One HD 10847 V

    949 BBC Two HD 10847 V

    979 BBC Two Wales 10847 V

    978 BBC One NI HD 10847 V

    Channels on each transponder
