Hi all, how do I connect my Humax HDR-1800T to my new Samsung UE32T4307. I tried connecting the indoor aerial to the back of the HUmax and then with another aerial lead, the HUmax to the TV. All I get when I try to paly a recording on the Humax is a bright green screen.
Anything I can do?

You need a HDMI cable from the 1800T to a HDMI input on the TV. Selecting the HDMI input you connected the cable to using the TV remote should let you see and hear the 1800T output. You will be very lucky if an indoor aerial works for Live TV on the PVR and the TV.

Have you got a HDMI cable from the box to the TV ?
Remote may be using wrong code set. Until you get a picture on the TV using HDMI no way to check.

Thanks all, i am using the HDMI cable. I will look at suggestion to reset the PVR.
I’ll be happy to only use the PVR for what’s already recorded, never mind trying to record more.
Reset using buttons on box. I don’t have remote
How do i reset box 1800t using buttons on box only. I’m using hdmi. And out door aerial. I do not have a remote control. Can only use box buttons

I got no money get a remote. Just need to reset the box. Just won’t to know how to do it using box buttons. Know it can be done that way
Ebay … £8 from China, £11 to £15 for a uk sourced one.
Unfortunately its very difficult to do without one on a Humax STB.
Have a look in charity shops or facebook – they do appear now and again — seen similar for a couple of quid.
If you can pick up a one-4-all (one with a PVR or STB button) they can be programed to suit (most of them!).
If its no good flog it on ebay/facebook

Please could you explain how you know that? It isn’t something I can recollect being discussed previously. The only way I think it might be possible is if Humax have a system reset file available which you apply in the same way as a firmware update via a USB stick. Sadly I haven’t got one but It might be worth contacting Humax support to see if they have one.
