We have just moved home. The satellite dish has three twin cables coming into the attic where they are all split into six normal coax cables leading to six rooms (by the previous owner).
We only need one or two terminals at the most. However, we do want to use our Foxsat-HDR but it needs twin cable supply. Can I simply remove the single coax between the terminal to the attic, replace it with twin cable and join the new twin to one of the existing twin cables from the dish, which is currently split and joined to single coax cables?

Should be fine. Ideally use WF100 grade coax. That would mean running two single cables rather than shotgun (twin).

WF65 Twin cable is much thinner than WF100. So has much higher losses. Also you have to very careful that the very thin centre conductor makes proper contact. If the runs are short it will be fine, but you may need to put a small kink in the core conductor to make sure it makes proper contact. Also the lnb requires DC power from the tuners. On long runs the additional voltage drop from the higher DC resistance can stop the lnb working properly.

In our old house it was about 20ft from dish to terminal, hence shotgun cable, whereas here it will be more like 120ft.
