I’ve a lot of films on My 2000T, recorded from different TV channels, but as I have little faith in modern technology I back some of them up on a separate hard drive in case this aging HDR goes U/S. Now and again it won’t let me access the recordings, I have to to turn it of and restart it.

But some films I’ve recorded on it I can’t copy to the separate hard drive as I get a message thst they are “protected.”

There seems to be no logic as most films I record have probably been shown on TV at least once before.
