Iv’e had my HDR-2000T for more than 10 years now and its now causing problems. So I’m not sure if its reached end of its days and buy a new HDR. When viewing TV the picture is very blue with grey/whitish faces, in fact it looks quite anaemic! But yet viewing through my LG Smart TV its quite normal, so I know its not the settings.

Anyone else had this problem, if so what was the solution?

Try a new HDMI cable. Or even reseating the existing cable.

Symptoms suggest one of the colour carrying conductors in the cable is not connecting. You could also try a different HDMI in in case the issue is down to the TV HDMI socket.

Thank you for your tips. I purchased a new scart lead today, but found my HDR it is not connected by a scart lead! As you both said it is connected to the TV by an HDMI cable, which at the time I wasn’t aware of (should have checked before I went shopping)! So will have a play around tomorrow, and if needed will buy a new HDMI cable. Thank so much for your help. Will let you know if all gets fixed!

Before you go shopping again, did you try the suggestion to reseat the existing cable, ie. unplug it both ends and plug it back in (maybe swapping the ends)?

The HDR-2000t was first available less than 7 years ago.

    Which model do you have?
