InactiveHi I bought the Humax FVP -5000T on Saturday and my problem is on playback or even watching live tv it goes off and comes back on numerous times an hour. 45 in 2 hour slot on the day I checked. My husband rang customer service to be told to plug in HDMI which had no effect then told to do factory setting, still nothing changed, then sent us a new power source adapter which arrived today and it wasn’t any good as anything we had pre-recorded didn’t record. any help please!

That should be fine. This is a HD Ready TV that likely needs a lower resolution output. When connected by scart so you can see the box output. I can’t get access to my 5000T at the moment. As soon as I can I will post again. If you find a setting in TV settings that says 1080p, change it to 1080i (16:9) . Then try the hdmi connection.
