I’ve had a Humax FVP-5000T for some time now and I have come to the conclusion that it has the most frustrating user interface ever.
First of all the epg defaults to HDTV channels only. To view other channels I have to select Guide/Option/Change Group/TV before I can select a non HD channel.
When a transmission has been paused at some stage (perhaps a few hours earlier) and I go into the guide to select another channel then I get is the option to CLOSE or RECORD WHOLE SERIES. I then have to go back to bring the current Channel up to date and then reselect Guide and go through the procedure above.
Surely Humax could come up with something better than this!
Are you using the automatic power on timer? If so do you have it set to HDTV
Press “guide”.
Press “+”.
Select “change group”. Ok
Select “TV”. Ok
Before exiting, while still in the EPG, select any none HD channel.
From now on your epg should display everything.
