InactiveWas trying to watch something from YouTube on my HB-1000s. Catch-up works ok using a Humax 150 n dongle. I launch the YouTube app on the Humax (YouTube splash screen) and then launch YouTube on my phone where the FS box becomes a box to cast to. Selecting the FS box causes the Splash screen to go and then return. Selecting a YouTube video on the phone opens the video causing the Humax screen to again blank but the video never starts.
I saw posts from a few years ago where Humax acknowledged an issue but there have been at least two firmware versions since then.
Does YouTube work for anyone else and if so is there a trick to get it to work?

ParticipantIt works fine on my HDR-1000S (hard wired to my router). You don’t need to start the app on your freesat box. Locate the content on your phone start it playing back and cast to the box. The app should open on the Freesat box and directly playbacks directly from Youtube. It doesn’t come via your phone. You get the same stream if you find something to watch directly using the app on the freesat box.
Your phone needs to be WiFi connected to the same network as your freesat box.

InactiveHi, thanks for your response. I get the same behaviour if I launch directly from the phone, the YouTube splash comes up and then a blank screen is displayed and the video doesn’t start. When I look at the network settings it says it is connected to the correct SSID at 65.0 Mbs, more than enough bandwidth.

Well if the app is not working properly how can you expect to cast the stream from the phone to the app.
Anyone else got a HB model who can check if Youtube is working ?
