Perusing today’s guide I noticed that a recording was scheduled for “Best Bakes Ever” (not something that I am remotely interested in), selecting it brought up the relevant info page but I was unable to cancel the recording (I tried numerous times).

Then I noticed that the time slot was when “xxx Talking Pictures” had previously been broadcast. When I looked at the recordings list it shows that today’s schedule is set to record “David Niven Talking Pictures”. Only from here was I able to cancel the recording (and resetting the series link did not reactivate the recording of BBE.

Obviously the first issue is the incorrect data from the BBC but it’s odd that the recording could not be cancelled directly from the guide (as is normally the case).
