I’ve had this HDR1100S for several months. It’s on the latest firmware.
A few days ago it suddenly changed the way it operates, without any input from me.
It now powers down after playing a recording, and stays off until the next recording is due or I manually turn it on.
The thing is that the power settings are unchanged. Automatic Power Down is Off and Power saving is Normal, just like they have always been. There are no timers set to turn off or on.
How has this happened and how can I reset it? I was thinking of trying a factory reset but I’m aware it will lose all the recording schedules.
Have you power cycled it?
Have yo toggled Auto Powerdown ON then OFF?
Take a pic of the schedule rather than jotting it down.
Also confirm you have a HDR1100S as if so, you posted in the wrong forum.
Apologies, yes it’s an HDR.
I’m going to take the advice to take a snapshot of the schedule and do a factory reset.
If that doesn’t fix it I’ll come back to the correct forum.
