InactiveHi, just replaced the main board in an HDR 1100s and got it working. I need to format the hard drive but the PIN on this board isn’t the usual 0000. I presume it can be reset as with other Humax machines but can someone tell me the procedure for this model?

See the FAQs for this model.

InactiveThanks, tried that but was in the wrong area of the menu. I’ll try again.

There’s a thread somewhere where the poster had a box with Parental Guidance pin set and the method detailed in the faq’s would not reset this. Barry came up with the suggestion to use a Humax reset .hdf which did work. I have a copy of this if any other member comes across the same issue.

InactiveDoes that file perform a more thorough reset than just a factory reset? If it does, I wonder if it might cure the green button issues (because the BBC say that nothing more than a reset will be necessary but I have tried and it didn’t work)?

Afaik it resets everything back to the as delivered option except of course the installed firmware version. It proved to be the only way to remove a PG pin.
But it’s for a G2 Freesat box which doesn’t have the green button. Not aware of a equivalent version for a FVP unit.
