I use a small piece of white card beneath the front, with the front lifted a bit on two little blocks.

Agreed. Bad enough that it is only the light.

I much preferred earlier boxes which had a front panel alphanumeric display with the channel being watched, time and a clear “recording” indication.

Shame Humax did not simply create a android/iphone based based interface that shows exactly what the box is doing. My AV receiver has one, so does my blu-ray player. I can control either with my phone or tablet, and the display is much more informative. If they can do remote scheduling it should be easy and of course the HDR-FOX-T2 and Foxsat-HDR already have 3rd party ones.

If I plug a usb drive into my LG- blu-ray player I can easily find a media file to play, despite the drive having 100’s of files. I Have all the files sorted into folders A- Alpha and numerics, B-Z purely apha.
