    I have a foxsat-HDR which refuses to work on timer recording,every time i get a onscreen message saying recording failed after 30 seconds.I can record manually but then most other channels come up as no signal.and some channels not even thereI have tried factory rest to no avail.Question is is it time for a new HDD ?

    A new Hard disk won’t help if you are missing channels. Could be failing lnb or possibly water in the coax cabling.
