I have recently purchased a humax fvp 5000t for my parents to replace their old Sony recorder. However during set up it will only find 6 channels. The old box can still find 100 plus so I’m unsure if it is an aerial problem or fault with the new box?

Start by telling us the signal strength and quality on one of the channels it has found (Press red F button, selecting Settings>Channel settings>Signal Test).

It may also help if you can tell us which transmitter your aerial is pointing to.
And distance to it.
